Home:  President's Message

My name is Noorez Devraj and I am the Inventor/founder and president of Lyna Manufacturing Incorporated. Twelve years ago I was involved in marketing a liquid tire sealant. During the development of this business, I realized the available products in this sector had a number of inadequacies, such as; toxic chemicals, congealing when exposed to various temperature fluctuation, bacterial growth effecting product performance, fibers clogging the valve stem, solvents in the sealant causing chamber fires during retread, rust problems, tire beads welding to the rim, sealant pooling to the bottom making it difficult for section repairs, etc. Some of these were well known brands with sales exceeding $USD 25 million.
Twelve months of extensive testing were performed before the thought of assembling a ground up formula and none of the available tire sealants were suitable for the high-speed over the road highway tires. Therefore, in 1996, with personal savings and a small grant (after market feasibility study) created by the British Columbia government, Technology Assistance Program (TAP), I started research and development to develop the first formula. I assembled a team of engineers and technicians from several countries with combined experience of over 200 years in the Scientific, Tire and Automotive industries. Not knowing what lay ahead, other than excitement and unpredictability we knew that it could be enthralling but would require patience, determination and tenacity. We set out 14 objectives. These objectives were an end result of compiling every problem associated with tires on a plain white board. It was determined that if and when the 14 Objectives were met, we would then have a superior product to lower tire operation costs for commercial vehicles. Three years later we achieved our first goal and Tire Lyna low-speed commercial formula was created. Seven more years of extensive scientific research, patience, determination, tenacity and field testing were carried out on the Truck & Bus over the road hi-speed hi-way formula used mainly for tires operating over 60 mph. This formula required extensive research and field testing; in some cases almost fifteen months before the tire tread was worn out to thoroughly examine the product and rheology properties. This new formula is precise and yields a very high temperature operating band of -80F to +370F. Its heat dissipating properties are superior and the rheology flow of the gel gives the tire a uniform coating throughout the tread life. Other products available in this category only perform up to +260F and most have a separation problem after a few months of usage and carry harmful chemicals. The time invested in the Truck & Bus over the road Hi-way formula was a result in achieving another break through in producing a passenger formula for the critical mass consumer’s that are always having a one tire problem.

Tire Lyna is qualified as a "ground up" technology by the Scientific Research and Experimental Development of Canada (SR&ED).

Lyna Manufacturing's mission is to save the earth one tire at a time and to be a global leader in providing value added solutions, help increase the productivity of our customers and decrease the volume of tires being prematurely discarded into our landfills each year.
